Athene LaJeunesse: Debate Agent" Having spent this past year as a debate agent under Hannah as Convention Coordinator, I’ve been able to see her incredible leadership skills and passion for JSA and how she is perfectly suited to the role of Governor.
Early on in the year, she established a schedule and worked hard to stick to it successfully. She made ambitious deadlines while also keeping in mind how to evenly distribute a manageable amount of work. She deftly made realistic goals and achieved them, a vital skill when managing all of the region. Already, she has set out goals which have realistic plans for achievement if she is elected Governor. Another of Hannah’s qualities is that she is incredibly friendly. She makes a clear, effective effort to reach out to everyone in the department and treat them as a close friend. Hannah is a ray of sunshine not only within the department, but within all of cabinet, and it’s perfectly clear after a single conversation with her. Hannah also has a passion for JSA - not just trying to achieve the highest position, but a passion for creating an experience that any person from any chapter will find engaging, worthwhile, and fun. As Convention Coordinator, she’s worked to bring together the Debate Department and the Logistics Department for this very cause. Her positive attitude towards all JSAers regardless of position, ability to manage long-term as well as short-term projects, and dedication to creating a JSA experience to be enjoyed by everyone are all reasons I think that Hannah is the best candidate for Governor, and why I encourage everyone to vote for her. Josie Gross-Whitaker: Director of Debate" Hannah’s experience and success in the Convention department speaks for itself. Not only has she gotten an inside view into many different departments of JSA, but she has the ability to work with all members of JSA in an effective and constructive way. I know that Hannah is passionate about JSA, but also possesses the qualities that are critical in a leader: kindness, intelligence, critical thinking, and determination. After knowing Hannah throughout my JSA career, I have no doubt that she is the best candidate for governor and will work the hardest to create a better and strong Norcal state. "

Maddy Roorda: EBR Senator" I met Hannah at my very first chapter meeting freshman year. Immediately she struck me as someone approachable and friendly, and has since proven to be an amazing leader both inside and outside of JSA. Hannah is strong, smart, creative, funny, and a great friend. I aspire to be like her, and I truly can think of no one better to be NorCal’s next Governor. "

Emma Grimaldi: EBR Senator" I’ve known Hannah since my freshman year of high school. Since the start, she has always been supportive, helpful, and kind. She encouraged me to run for Senator my freshman year and has supported me the entire time. Knowing Hannah, I can doubtlessly say that she is the best candidate for governor. Hannah is smart, empathetic, and a strong leader. She has always made herself available for questions, advice, or anything else you could possibly need, whether it’s JSA, school advice, or you just need someone to talk to. Hannah Kuhns is who you want as your governor because of her dedication to JSA and endless supportiveness. "

Cecille Pardo: New Leader" Hannah is a person with drive and goals. She has such a clear vision of what she wants to get done for JSA and how to get it done. From the moment I met Hannah she was always very kind and as I’ve gotten to know her I’ve seen how much passion she has for JSA. One of the biggest things she talks about is inclusivity and I strongly support this as well. Hannah’s responsibility and innovativeness are the exact qualities that I think would make her an amazing Governor! ”

Henry Mills: New Leader & Debate Agent“Hannah Kuhns is a tried and tested leader who has dedicated days upon days of her life to serve her JSA peers. As a first year JSAer, Hannah has greeted me with open arms and I feel like I’ve been in JSA all my life. I have also had the pleasure of getting to know Hannah more personally through being an agent in the Convention Department and I strongly feel that if she runs NorCal JSA just as effectively and wholeheartedly as she runs the Convention Department, then all JSA delegates can look forward to one of the most productive and exciting years in JSA to come! I know that Hannah will work tirelessly to ensure that all of her fellow JSAers learn, grow, and succeed!”

Diane Chao: Director of Development“ Ever since I joined cabinet my junior year, I noticed Hannah’s dedicated engagement and hard work within the Convention department. This year, I was able to further promote fundraising initiatives by asking Hannah to publicize them on the JSApp. Hannah is qualified to be governor because she will shape NorCal JSA to have more effective and productive departments. NorCal JSA needs a governor that will find solutions to problems. She will use her innovative style and considerate approach to improve JSA by hearing voices from not only cabinet, but chapter delegates too. She wants delegates from different backgrounds and communities to become involved in NorCal JSA’s mission. This is why I endorse Hannah for governor. "

Alyssa Fong: 2017-18 GGR Vice Mayor" Drive, dignity, and passion. These are the three words that immediately come to mind when I think of Hannah Kuhns. Even before I met her, I was told consistently of her heartfelt kindness and natural charisma. Having gotten to know her over the past two years, I can say with confidence that she possesses every quality necessary of a future governor. Her superior experience speaks for itself, consisting of two years leading one of the best Convention departments NorCal has seen. Her energetic, productive mindset has led her to take initiative at every possible opportunity; she easily stands out as one of the most dedicated members of both her chapter and her state. A paramount component of her personality is her admirable ability to interact with others; in every conversation I have had with her, she has never failed to be an attentive and receptive listener. Most importantly, she is one of the most genuine and sincere people I know, intrinsically driven to serve the interest of every single delegate in NorCal JSA. Each of these qualities truly exemplify the drive, dignity, and passion you all should look for in a future leader of NorCal. Her platform emphasizes compromise and inclusivity, structured in a way that will undoubtedly make positive steps forward within the state. I have no doubt that you will personally feel the positive effects of a governorship held by Hannah Kuhns, and I urge you to vote for her this Spring State. "
|
Zoe Simotas: Deputy Director of Expansion" Hannah is a very outgoing and supportive person. I met her for the first time this Winter State when she chaired and I clerked the SST committee. This was my first time at Winter state and Hannah helped me get adjusted to running and just being in committee. Even when she was presenting her bill and I had to take over the chair position she walked me through every step of the process, always being there if I needed her help. Hannah helped me feel included and a big part of our committee, I believe that her outgoing nature and inclusivity will benefit JSA as a whole. I think that Hannah would be a great governor especially when it comes to improving cabinet, making it more open and inclusive for all JSAers! "
|
Ravi Joshi-Wander: 2017-18 LTG Chief of Staff" From being on cabinet with Hannah on cabinet last year, I can unequivocally say that she is one of the hardest-working people I know, and a wonderful presence in JSA, bringing a positive energy to every convention, meeting and call. I can’t think of a better choice for governor! "
